Does Your University Support Apartheid?

[tweetmeme] Carleton University currently invests in the following companies: BAE Systems, L-3 Communications, Motorola, Northrop Grumman, and Tesco.  All five of these companies profit from the Israeli occupation of Palestine.  Carleton students are demanding that the university divest from these companies and the policy of apartheid of which they are a part.  Does your university invest in apartheid?

  1. the university of arizona has a HUGE divestment campaign against caterpillar, motorola, and an athletic wear company that the university used to use.

  2. Along with the divestment campaign there is also an SJP (Students for Justice in Palestine club) which brings educational speakers from all over the country (thanks to some generous grants) to speak at the university, this week the speaker is Nir Rosen to share his perspective on ‘counterinsurgency’ in Iraq and Afghanistan.
